Canadian's Turf Community

Canadian's Turf started as a Garry's Mod server in May 2009 after a few friends decided to make a home instead of being nomadic--jumping from server to server as communities came and went.

While the gamemode was "DarkRP (roleplay)", that was merely to broaden the possibilities of what one could accomplish. The true "gamemode" (read: "core") of the community was building cool things and fostering creativity. The niche space became a home to many likeminded individuals across the globe where they could influence one another (and, often, annihilate one another with the creations).

Granted, the server isn't active much these days, but that's a byproduct of cultivating such ingenuity--many regulars have since aged into software-related careers.
